Alex, would you mind introducing yourself, please?
My name is Alexander Döring and I am 32 years old.
What do you do at vision-tec and how long have you been on board?
I have now been working at vision-tec for 8 years. I started in the electrical workshop, then worked in service for 5 years and have been Deputy Production Manager for about 2 years. Additionally, I manage the organisation of the electrical department together with my colleague Michael Paternoga.
Why did you decide to embark on this career path at vision-tec?
Since the job interview was already pretty funny, I knew that this was exactly the right company for me.
What do you like best about your job?
What I like most about my job is that I can participate in the development of new machines as well as the continuous development and optimisation of our products. In addition to the interesting and various tasks, I appreciate the familiar working atmosphere and the nice colleagues.
What kinds of skills do you need for a job in your field?
You should have technical affinity and manual skills. You should also have a lot of fun working with PC-based systems. As there may also be on-site installations at the customer’s location, you should have a certain willingness to travel.
