Katja, introduce yourself, please.
My name is Katja Sattler. I am 44 years old, married and have two children.

What are you doing at vision-tec and how long have you been on board?
I’ve been working at vision-tec for 11 years – so I’ve been on board almost from the start. I head up finance and accounting and am also responsible for HR management. Before I joined the management team in September 2022, I had already worked for vision-tec as an authorised signatory for more than 7 years.

What makes your job special? What does your day-to-day work look like?
My job is super varied and every day is different. In the first few years, I was almost exclusively involved in operations; now the strategic tasks dominate. I am still learning a lot and am constantly developing.

What are the biggest challenges for you in your day-to-day work?
The biggest challenge in my day-to-day work is maintaining a balance between working closely with employees on a personal level and at the same time making strategic decisions at the highest level and implementing them effectively.

What goals do you have with vision-tec and where do you see the company in 10 years?
We have succeeded in further expanding vision-tec’s leading market position in many sub-areas and product segments. We have successfully capitalised on key opportunities arising from various market and technology trends as well as the development towards a more ecological deposit bottle economy. We are in a very good economic position. We are guided by the principle of generating long-term and sustainable earnings. We have created a corporate culture in which employees give their best, are loyal and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

What do you do to balance your work?
I do a lot of sport (weight training, jogging), play piano or read.
